Data Engineer II

Pay rate range - $65/hr. to $67/hr. on W2
M-F, 8:30 am-4:30 pm PST. Will work in office 5 days/week during ramp then hybrid 3 days in/ 2 days out

Must Have
Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS
5+ years’ experience with AWS services (Lambda, Gateway, SNS, Firehose, etc..)
Good knowledge of SQL and other reporting solutions like Quicksight or Tableau

Required Skills & Experience:
* 7-10 years of related experience
* 5+ years’ experience with AWS services (Lambda, Gateway, SNS, Firehose, etc.)
* Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS
* Good knowledge of SQL and other reporting solutions like Quicksight or Tableau
* Should have experience developing complex data models and implementation across large-scale systems
* A good candidate has strong analytical skills and enjoys working with large complex data sets.
* A good candidate can partner with business owners directly to understand their requirements and provide data that can help them observe patterns and spot anomalies
* 4 year engineering Degree
 
Preferred:
10 years of AWS experience
Prior e-commerce experience
 
Degree or Certification:
4-year engineering Degree – required
AWS certification – nice to have
Masters – nice to have

Daily Schedule:
  • Measure drivers’ metrics
  • Heads-down analysis work
  • Some interface with tech teams who provide driver metric data
  • Working on PDI project and data migration
  • Each project takes 2-4 weeks
  • 25% team interface, 75% heads-down work
  • Working in Python and within AWS services (Lambda, Gateway, SNS, etc)
  • SQL Reporting
