Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Data Scientist to join our Engineering Operations Group. In this role, you will be instrumental in establishing an operational data science practice to solve complex business problems. You will partner closely with business roles and organizational leaders to develop innovative solutions that enhance decision-making and operational efficiency, propelling our organization forward over the next five years. Key Responsibilities: Operational Data Science Practice: Establish and lead an operational data science practice within the Engineering Operations Group to address and solve business challenges. Collaboration and Partnership: Work closely with business roles and organizational leaders to understand their needs and identify opportunities for data-driven decision-making and operational improvements. Data Analysis and Modeling: Perform advanced data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning to uncover insights, identify trends, and develop predictive models. Problem-Solving: Develop and implement data science solutions to solve innovative decision-making and operational problems, ensuring they are aligned with business objectives. Data Strategy: Contribute to the development of the data strategy and roadmap for the Engineering Operations Group, ensuring alignment with the overall organizational goals. Visualization and Reporting: Create compelling data visualizations and reports to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders clearly and effectively. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest data science technologies, methodologies, and best practices to continuously improve the quality and impact of data science initiatives. Mentorship and Training: Provide guidance and mentorship to data engineers and data analysts, fostering a culture of learning and growth within the team. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or comparable work experience. Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in data science or a related field, with a proven track record of solving complex business problems using data-driven approaches. Technical Skills: Sharp skills in Python and SQL. Experience with data analysis tools and platforms (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Power BI, Tableau). Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze large datasets and develop actionable insights. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders. Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with business partners and organizational leaders. Innovation: A passion for innovation and a forward-thinking mindset, with the ability to think creatively and develop Client solutions to business challenges. Project Management: Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
