Qualifications:
Education
• Bachelor's Degree in Science, preferred. Ideally some discipline of Biology/ Pharmacology/Physiology, etc.

Required Experience and Skills
• Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience
• Minimum of 2 years working in a lab environment with hands-on experience with lab equipment
• Scientifically conversant in basic biology and pharmacology principles, with industry experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Adept at both data entry as well as developing tracking/reporting outputs
• Must be able to work as part of team and independently when required
• Well organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint

The position is based in West Point, PA or Rahway NJ, with a hybrid work schedule, 2 days on site, 3 days remote work.

You have a proven track-record of being able to handle a high volume of transactional work with both fidelity and efficiency. You are able to prioritize work effectively and relate daily tasks to larger project deliverables and departmental objectives. You are driven, self-motivated and would consider yourself a quick learner and someone who can "hit the ground running”. You are flexible, adaptable and have an overall positive, can do attitude. You are not afraid to afraid to speak up, ask questions and share your ideas! Some resume red flags are large gaps, lack of technology, hands-on experience within a lab setting. Frequent job hopping; less than 6 months in a role; at several roles; A resume that does not show job progression. There are 7 people on the team who work very closely together. Close knit team who really support each other where needed. Lab Background Experience is required with strength in a biological science and proficiency in IT.

Responsibilities:
The candidate will work within External Quantitative Biosciences interacting with scientists from Research Labs (MRL) as well as Sourcing Operations, Finance and R&D procurement.
External Quantitative Biosciences are responsible for managing in vitro and in vivo pharmacology work being executed at external Contract Research Organizations (CROs) or with academic partners. The team supports all MRL discovery sites and all MRL disease areas, and the candidate will provide operational support to members of External Quantitative Biosciences (ExQB).
The candidate's responsibilities include:
• Assist ExQB leads with vendor performance (VPP) collection for transactional work such as for cell science, protein production and molecular biology requests.
• Together with internal scientists, review or help complete protocols prior to work transfers.
• Performing notebook audits of partner notebook entries
• Support and prepare paperwork for biological reagent shipments to partners.
• Ordering ad-hoc compound for shipments to CRO partners.
• Follow-up up with MRL project teams on Global Counterscreening compound issues
• Supporting kinase profiling requests, managing requests from MRL project teams, submitting requests through Lifetech portal, managing and sharing data as generated with the project teams. Mapping process out in detail for archiving purposes
• Support Ex QB leads with finance forecast collection.
• Supporting and tracking IT issues and working with IT and ExQB leads to follow-up on problems and managing partner IT issues,
• Support cell line registration process including helping partners register their bioinventory.
• As needed, provide project management assistance including capture/track actions for ROP sourcing/other routine scientific meetings.

External quantitative Biosciences are part of MRL's Discovery, Pre-clinical and Translational Medicine organization and manages the In Vitro- and In Vivo pharmacology work from all MRL discovery sites with Contract Research Organizations as well as the relationships with external CRO vendors. The candidate will be responsible for supporting External QB leads with operational and administrative tasks supporting the externalization of In Vitro and In Vivo pharmacology work.
This cross-functional support position will be directly accountable to the broader external QB lead group and also interface with other stakeholders in Operations, Finance and Procurement. The responsibilities of this position will extend to utilizing a suite of IT applications and it is expected that the successful candidate will develop sufficient expertise in these tools and processes to be able to effectively troubleshoot issues, propose solutions for workflow improvements, and document best practices, including the authorship of Standard Operating Guidelines (SOGs).
