Responsibilities:
  • The Special Programs Evaluations Assessments and Response (SPEAR) Wireless Security (WiSec) team is looking for a software development engineer (SDE) to help build its security services.
  • WiSec is leveraging hardware and automation to scale its services worldwide, and it needs talented SDEs to help develop and deploy the infrastructure to support this project.
  • As an SDE supporting WiSec, you will work with a team of engineers to design and create services that help run the team’s cloud architecture.
 
The ideal candidate will have:
  • 3-5 years of software development experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in deploying AWS infrastructure as code is required.
  • Experience deploying custom Greengrass components is required.
  • Experience with Docker is required.
  • Familiarity deploying custom Greengrass components and working with cross-component communication is required.
  • Experience deploying and maintaining AWS resources
  • Familiarity with Stream Manager, IoT Analytics, MQTT, and Greengrass component monitoring/metrics is required.
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence
 
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience with AWS services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, CloudTrail
  • Expertise in Java and mobile application development experience is desired.

- 3-5 years of software development experience
