English/Chinese Content Designer

Job ID: 24-06571
Job Title: English/Chinese Content Designer
Location: San Jose, CA 95125 (Remote)
Duration: 6 months
Contract Type: W2 only
Pay Rate: $73.42/Hour

Job Responsibilities
  • As a Bilingual English/Chinese content designer, you know translating content is not enough to tailor an experience to a new audience. You stay attuned to current cultural zeitgeist in China and you enjoy building bridges between partner teams to build products that meet the needs of our Chinese customers. You understand how to work within an established design/content system and tailor it to different audiences.
  • As a content designer on our Financial Services team, you’ll be designing the end-to-end experience for one of the most critical parts of our buyers’ and sellers’ journey.
  • You’ll work in tandem with other content designers, product designers, researchers, and other partners who share your passion for crafting high-performing, user-centered product experiences.
  • You’ll write strings, make decisions about when and how to communicate concepts with our customers, and contribute to content strategies.

What you’ll accomplish:
  • Scaling established content strategies and frameworks to the Greater China market
  • Design, test, and iterate on user flows in close collaboration with product, design and user research partners.
  • Drive a cohesive product narrative and end-to-end consistency in partnership with marketing and customer support teams
  • Collaborate closely with the Localization team to ensure the English source content will translate into optimal Chinese content

What you’ll bring:
  • 8+ years of professional experience in content-focused roles with 4+ of those years on in-product content
  • Native or bilingual proficiency in both Chinese and English with excellent writing and editing skills in both languages
  • A portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product work, a systems-level mindset, and the ability to distill complex information down to its simplest form
  • Experience developing a product content strategy for web and mobile, including designing for accessibility and inclusivity
  • Effective collaboration skills in cross-functional design and product teams
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in English, journalism, communications, marketing, human-centered interaction, or related field
