  • 3+ years, ideally 4+ years of experience
 
Degrees or Certifications:
  • Java cert around 17 or 11, would be an added value, not a requirement.
  • Open to candidates without a BA in engineering as long as the experience is there.
 
Coding language required:
  • JAVA
  • Knowledge of automating smaller tasks (using Python or JavaScript)
  • NATIVE/AWS

  • Ownership. Expect the candidate to demonstrate ownership within projects.
  • Expect them to own projects end-to-end.
  • Bias for action. Being able to continue forward even with blockers, being proactive.

  • Anything that they are building within these pages, their group is the first to experience it, since they are testing it before anyone else.

Team
  • Team is a Delivery experience QA team
  • Self owns customer-facing pages.
  • They are the QA team to support testing any of the newer features, migration, or applications that are being performed on those pages. Also, the services that are performed on those pages.
  • QA team has BOTH QAE & SDETs
  • QA’s work on the functional testing part of it. The manual test plan creation, test execution, and making sure the feature is being manually tested.
  • SDETs are trying to find opportunities to automate them so they can scale the testing efforts and reduce the manual efforts that they are testing any of the features.
  • Will be part of the SDET group – where they will work on building frameworks, onboarding services to client proprietor frameworks for any of the shadow testing, and make sure they have good test coverage across their services.
  • Work on solving some problems with the test data that the QA’s may have, doing the testing.
  • Build tools on platforms such as Native & AWS, then use the services so they have a way to use the customer orders for internal testing.
  • Stripping out all of the confidential of information. 
  • Contractor joining the team will be working with the SDET group to work on any of the initiatives with the team.
  • They are expected to work on operational excellence (tickets, adding to security risk, making sure rules/frameworks are up to date)
Key projects:
  • A couple of projects: ramping up the tests that are currently in the pipeline.
  • Currently A lot of issues with the tests, the framework is not very trustworthy, switching to a different framework and also try to find a different mechanism of leveraging the data for testing.
  • Also – building a tool that solves the test data problem for all . This tool is built within NATIVE, AWS, LAMBDA FUNCTION (Looking for a candidate to have this knowledge)
